PNG is an image format that supports lossless compression and transparency. A transparent background lets you place an image over another design without a solid rectangle around it.

How to use a transparent PNG

Download the file and import it into your preferred design tool. Add it to a slide, poster or composition, then resize it while keeping the original proportions.

Choose the right size

Start with an image at least as large as its intended display size. Enlarging a small image can make its edges look soft.

Check the background

The checkerboard behind our previews indicates transparency. It is a viewing aid, not part of the PNG download. Always review usage rights before sharing a finished design.
